Frequently asked CBD questions General Questions

What is CBD?
Cannabidiol (CBD) is a chemical compound found in cannabis plants called a cannabinoid. It, like other cannabinoids, is able to interact with receptors found in your body that are part of the Endocannabinoid System (ECS), making it have an effect on people.
What can CBD do?
Because CBD is able to interact with the ECS, it has the potential to have several different kinds of effects on people. Common ones you'll hear about are, help with discomfort and inflammation, and help with a nervous disposition.
How is CBD made?
CBD is made by extracting it from a variation of the cannabis plant that is called hemp. There are a few different extraction methods, most of which will still do a good job obtaining high-quality CBD for you to use.

Safety Questions

Is CBD safe?
In general, CBD is considered safe when used at the right levels. It is possible to experience some minor side effects if you take too much. There are also medications that don't work well when used with CBD, so be sure to talk with your doctor before you start using it.
Does CBD get you high?
CBD often gets confused for another cannabinoid called tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). It is the cannabinoid that creates the high you may associate with cannabis. CBD, however, is not psychoactive, so it doesn't cause any sort of high or intoxication.
Is CBD legal?
After the 2018 Farm Bill, industrial hemp and its products were made federally legal in the United States. Since CBD is made from hemp, it is federally legal. However, there are some states that have kept CBD and/or hemp illegal, so be sure to become familiar with your state hemp laws before use.

Usage Questions

What is the best way to use CBD?
Choosing the right CBD product for you is all a matter of personal choice. If you're looking for a localized effect, then topicals are the choice for you. If you would rather have a more overall effect, then you will want an oil or an edible.
What is the difference between full and broad spectrum?
These names have to do with what cannabinoids are in the extract used to make the product. Full spectrum has all of the cannabinoids found in hemp, with CBD being the primary one. Broad spectrum has everything but THC so that you don't have to worry about any effect from that cannabinoid.
What is the entourage effect?
The entourage effect is a result of multiple cannabinoids and compounds working together to make a stronger effect. It is a common result of using full and broad spectrum products. It is also why CBD isolate is considered to be weaker than the other CBD extracts.
How much CBD do I take?
While our products do have a recommended serving size, everyone has their own amount of CBD that they need to take. Some require more, others less. That's why we recommend starting with a low serving and seeing how it makes you feel. Then moving forward from there.
